Got a 70cc kit for my Kymco Super 9 and currently running my old Technigas Next R pipe but need something tuned for the 70.
I bought, (tried anyway), a Technigas RS-II non chrome version. The seller (1 of 3 Technigas Dealers) after waiting 4 weeks said he is having a hard time getting Technigas items. The other couple places have the RS-II in chrome.
My Next R was chrome and rusted the first season I had it, I wound up painting it black so I don't want anymore chrome.
The Technigas seems to be the ONLY pipe I can find for it. I am not seeing many other options other then a Leo Vince and do not want.
Can anyone point me to some other options? Availability and options seem to be scarce, not sure where else to look.
Thanks

Exhausts are pretty hard to find here. Usually if you want a really good one, you either have to shop at SIP based out of Canada, or overseas, which can take up to a month to arrive. If you're looking at over $200 for a pipe, I'd suggest sending a PM to 190mech on here and telling him exactly what you're looking for. He makes custom pipes, and is USA based.

Just to add, the LV's are good sport pipes, why don't you want one?

I don't like the Leo Vince for a couple reasons;
1) They are loud, too loud 2) Suspicious of any pipe that claims to work with both a 50cc and a 70cc. I understand there is a restrictor cone for a 50 that can be removed so it would work with a 70. Doesn't make sense to me. Suposedly the newer one with the "R" has a longer silencer and should be quieter. 3) It's rusts bad. My brother put one on his and it's coated in rust. I know he didn't treat it when he started using but it looks hideous.
I do have someone trying to score me a Stage 6 from overseas, I am supposed to call later today or tomorrow.
I will check out SIP, didn't realize they are in Canada, I thought Germany or somewhere near there.

They will get loud of they are leaking or in need of a re-pack 2) All sport pipes will work with a 50cc or 70cc, all exhausts will also come with a restrictor which allows them to get EU certification, obviously, everybody removes them afterwards anwyay 3) Fact of life, all expansion chambers will rust unless they are painted The S6 Pro, and Pro reps are to be honest rather poorly designed, particularly in the silencer department, they have a habit of falling off.

To add, SIP are in Germany. It's SPI that are in Canada.

SPI? That was who I was trying to the RS-II from. He had the Trek available from Technigas............ I thought they were West Coast California (408 area code). He can't get any other pipe either, I looked up Authorized Tecnigas Dealers and he is one of the 4 listed, 1 of the others is strictly mopeds. www.tecnigas.com/o/distribuidors.php?continent=3&pais=54&idioma=enI will have to look closer at the Leo Vince. I still don't see how one exhaust pipe can be tuned for both a 50cc and a 70cc at the same time. I never acknowledged that I know a lot but my understanding is that much of it has to do with the shape and volume of the cone that applies the back pressure. The pipe will also determine where the powerband is found. Something about the Leo Vince I am not sold on, maybe the impressions I get from the one my brother has or I saw a less then favorable dyno graph on it. None the less, chrome Tecnigas RS-II or Leo Vince and that's it? Maybe some day the aftermarket tuners over in the U.K. will bless the USA with some of the goodies available over there. :nana:

The SIP website is clever, automatically detects yor location from your IP and alters the language and currency. For me, it appears in pounds. Graf Zeppelin Str. 9 D-86899 Landsberg That's their address, definitely German. lpo- Here's a dyno comparison of the main sport pipes, on a stock LC mina: blog.pedparts.co.uk/2010/11/stage-6-pro-replica-exhaust-triumphs.htmlI think I was thinking of SP moto, not SPI

Beat me to posting that graph . . . I was going to go Next R til I saw the Leo vince TT figures. Everyone has an opinion but the dyno only has fact :thumb: I think the article said the Stage6 was the best pipe overall though, cuz when you added rollers it had a way wider powerband.

I think that Dyno was on the stock 50cc engine and saw that graph before, thanks for posting it though. If I remember dyno #'s dropped on a 70cc and can't find that link. Maybe not and I am imagining it.
Stage 6 was the best overall pipe, would like to get my hands on one. If not I will try to adjust my opinion on it. I just know my brothers is loud (maybe has a leak, needs to be re-packed) and it has rusted terribly quick. He bought it in May one year new and by Septmeber it was all rust. (I live near the ocean, salt air) Same reason I don't want a chrome pipe, my Next R was coated in surface rust by the end of one season. Maybe it was that it wouldn't fit with the center stand? I don't know but there is a reason I ruled it out.......can't remember what it was specifically. Maybe I should look at it again.
Now, if I chose a LV TT where can I get one for a Kymco S9? The marineli pipes don't fit. Very limited places if any I can get one.
Thanks for the help.

Oh and I just snapped some pics of what my brothers pipe looks like and what I think of when I hear LV; How does one prevent this? Soak it with WD40 after each run?

We used to spray our headers on badazz 70's muscle cars with this stuff (white ) and it is durable!! Even cleans up after an oil pressure gauge line melts / breaks on it ! *gULp*
