I’d go for the coil, cap and wire. You can always swap to something non OEM for the coil. Did you swap to a manual petcock or still the vacuum operated one? I’ve got a new aftermarket NGK cap on it, but I could try stock or see if I can find a new cap locally. I do have a new OEM coil from Partzilla laying around I’m going to try. Do aftermarket coils have any benefit? I thought they are usually equivalent to stock or worse? I’m on a manual petcock now.

Had to get the valves adjusted on the Kymco today. They had been quite tappy since I bought it. Sounds much better now.
Didn't have a ton of time to spend on the Zuma by the time I got the damn body panels back on the Kymco. I put a new coil on and cleaned all of the connections very well, but it didn't change anything. I don't have a new spark plug cap aside from the brand new one on it, so I threw the old stock cap on and it seemed to have zero effect. I have a couple new caps on order, but I don't think that's the issue.
I'll give my spare CDI and try tomorrow...

I should have some time this evening to try and get this straightened out again... just thinking out loud here, but should I try a BR7ES plug? Could this be a symptom of running too cool a plug? I know a 7 would be getting pretty hot though.

That is a very hot plug to run for your set up most run the 9 with aluminum kits or higher compression . Your Ground strap will tell you if you are in the right area for plug if it changes color in the middle of the bend . I find this picture the best for reading plugs .

Ok your build is beyond where I have built to . But I have spent enough time looking at the next level. Is it just the C16 revving you beyond where your ignition can handle . Your Carb should be plenty big enough for what you have and beyond you have a manual pet cock so fule is getting to carb. Swap back pipe to yasuni r set up just to verify that is the pipe over driving your set up.

I was referencing this chart when I decided to switch to the 8 from a 9 haha. According to the ground strap, I was definitely too cold. I've checked it once since and it did look much better, but the burn mark was not as clear. Just kinda grasping at straws I guess. I'm going to try the spare CDI tonight and once my parts arrive, I'll have an entirely new ignition system.

I can say that it was revving up to and just past 11k rpm with this pipe for a while. Less than 100 miles, but more than 50 miles.

Too me it is either ignition or fuel not keeping up . Can you run at 85% throttle non stop with no problems ? Could it be a float bowl adjustment that you are running out of fuel after being wide open ? It is hard for me to tell from your video if its running out of fuel at WOT

Yeah, I can run at 85% throttle forever it seems. I really don’t know how to tell if it’s fuel or ignition related. I can say that it kind of feels more ignition related, but not for any real reason.
When I’ve done any jetting changes, nothing really seems to change the hesitation issue. It will get a lean or rich bog as expected, but that seems separate from this.
Not sure if it’s relevant or not, but I’m running an 84 MJ and if I try an 82 or 86, it bogs pretty badly. Like it ONLY wants an 84MJ. Not sure if that’s normal or not.
I’m pretty sure I’ve already done this, but I have two fuel supplies connected and I can try opening both. That should eliminate the fuel supply suspicion. I recently had the float bowl off and everything looked normal, but I didn’t check the float level. I suppose I could do that.
