From the pictures, I think I saw some work done to the cylinder. Did you meticulously clean the cylinder after all trimming was done? Nick is hard and even traces will really screw your bearings and cylinder quick.

How much time was on that cylinder? Looks very similar to mine. Not much time at all. Probably less then a 100. I didn’t like how it was wearing and went to something else.

Nick is hard and even traces will really screw your bearings and cylinder quick. I never touched the cylinder because I was afraid of the Nikasil chipping. As far as I’m aware, Nikasil and porting don’t go together. I definitely meticulously wash all my parts as I assemble them though.

I just looked at one of my spare athena's Mine looks very clean compared to both of yours . Was it the same kit? My Athena Basic Sport kit didn’t have any of these problems. That’s why I was so confident in this kit. I was wrong…possibly.

Athena sport is the cylinder I have on the shelf and I did not port it either .
