Recently on Violet ( LML Star / Stella 150 2T ) had a lot of smoke on start up if scooter stood a while. 2T oil in tank also started dropping. No 2T oil going in gear box but obvious it must be combustion chamber. To rememdy this I done a few things suggested like renew ball valve, spring and plastic blob that holds it in, changed all gaskets on carb, carb box and base of reed valve block where 2 pinions are and never fill oil to top, Been off it for a week. Starts up fine but boy does it smoke.
Now I could faff about with trying all stuff again or just put non autolube carb box, carb and fuel tank and remove all the gubbins from round behind clutch that powered the autolube. My only concern would be getting the jetting right as presume increase need and I hear on over run its possible to seize unless you blip the throttle. I dont know if that correct. The other option is to get rid of the evil 2T and get a nice little sedate 4T with emmissions controls on.
No that is not mist but 2t after a spin up the track
At tickover and when turned off

Sell the stinky, noisy, smoking thing and ride the Django.

😃 oldgeek the Django gives me a sore bum and hurts my back after 50 miles. Its the most uncomfortable scooter or bike I have ridden in four or five decades any distance. Violet having a flat seat is very comfortable.

It should not be that hard to sort the jetting out. If your going 2% premix, just go 2% up on the main jet.

Fogging for mosquitoes? How about a vacuum operated valve like a fuel valve? I have a 4 stroke motorcycle also. I'm afraid I won't put in oil one day, since I don't have to on the larger motorcycle.

Pre mix it is! Ordered non autolube fuel tank same with carb and carb box and plugs to fill holes left behind might as well remove all the autolube gubbin's including bits behind clutch. Already got a non autolube reed valve block bought by mistake yonks ago and a new petrol tap. No going back now 😊 onwards!

while im a fan of the auto lube... if youre going premix id clean out the oil tank, put a valve and "T" it into the fuel line for extra fuel capacity.

Mostly all Peugeot 2T with autolube do the same...
Why it´s a problem? First 2 minutes it´s more smoke than normal. Just ride it mate....

The jetting change depends on what mixture your gonna use premix-wise. If you do a low ratio like 50:1 then you'll probably match the OEM autolube output and not need much of a jetting change. Also, 'blipping' the throttle on downhills is always a good idea on a 2t since the fuel is where the oil is, either premix or autolube. Giving it a quick little rev throws more lubricating oil on the cylinder and cooling gasoline on the piston, as most of the time your throttle is closed down hill restricting how much fuel/oil it gets.
