Good morning guys..I was trying to help sort out a few issues with this scoot. It wasn't running anymore.. I found that the timing was off 180*..... Also that this chino carb DOES NOT even have a mix screw. :stumped: I'm in the process of trying to swap a carb that has a mix screw How is that even possible to jump 180* off?.. It was very hard to start but if i unplug a vac line for the smog/emissions?, it starts real easy but it'll rev up alot but if you block off the line it dies. I removed the smog? box to see if that was it. I have a parts motor that is the same but it dont have this extra stuff(just the metal line @ the valve cover). I would have thought plugging off that vac line at the intake(intake has 2 barbs,1 for fuel, 1 for smog?) would help it.. Why would plugging that extra vac line on the intake kill the engine. Does anybody know how i could just bypass this extra stuff? Any help or input would be greatly appreciated

You can remove all that crap but you have to plug off all the holes after.

Thank you for the replys... On the intake it has 2 barbs. 1 is for the petcock and the other for the "emission?" thing. When i unplug it from the emission, it sucks air into the intake but if i plug it, it dies..if plugged in to the emission thing it wants to die... On the mix screw on these, is out lean?.. The screw is on the intake side..... That makes it rich going out, correct? When the other vac line is open(also sucking into the intake), it revs out hard... :stumped: Thanks for any info you may have.

The gas tank has a vent on it to allow air in. That's the only hole that should be left open.
Can you post pictures? It would really help a lot here.
