50 cc t n g scooter. Bought it in pieces. PO replaced piston. I replaced reeds and intake mani and belt. Had it running well. Fired up easy and ran well. Carb is spotless. Only put maybe 30 miles on it. No it won’t start. Threw the compression tester at it this morning and got 140 at wot. I figured it should at least pop off and run with some throttle but it it only catches for a second and dies. I undid the exhaust and it didn’t do a whole lot. Plenty of good spark. Gonna grab some fresh fuel but I’m not very hopeful. Is it big bore time or should I look elsewhere? Thanks. Joe. One last one. Should the oil pump dribble out some oil while cranking the motor?

140 psi is very strong if it was below a 100 psi I would have the itch to switch the cylinder since my wifes scoot would blow by me . The oil pump is rpm driven so yes it should be feeding a very very small amount of oil at idle or as you crank it . What does the plug look like if you put it back together in parts you may have the oil pump wide open all the time and you may be oil fouled up .
Just in case you didnt check for a exhaust leak from the pipe after buttoning it back together when you get it running use a gloved hand to plug the exhaust with a wet rag if it kills quick you are good if it keeps running you have leak

Got it running at least with the exhaust bolts loosened and pipe separated at the head. As soon as I tried to put the pipe back on it dies. So it appears the exhaust is very resticted. Looks like I am going to need clean it out or buy a new pipe.

If it is a pipe that has a catalyric converter just scrap it and buy a new one that is cat free .
You could try to blow air thew it with a air hose see if a mouses nest is in there it happens often enough.
If you have radiator shop near you you can have them dipit in there solvent tank
Otherwise you can plug the exhaust and fill it with kerosene ,gasoline leave it sit over night to break up the crud drain it blow it out with the air hose again let it sit another day so it drys out and bolt it back up and see if it is better .
