Well the weather and my schedule finally coincided so I was able to take this out for a rip and as cheesy as the malossi shoes looked they actually perform very well. It may be due to the fact that I was rolling on worn shoes and glazed drums, which makes these new brakes feel so amazing. I need a lighter touch on the levers now as the rear now locks up with minimal effort. I have nothing to report on the wheels, being the same size as stock I didn't imagine it would feel any different. Till next time!

Nice scoot you got there, Birdman. What ratio for premix are you using?

Nice scoot you got there, Birdman. What ratio for premix are you using? Thanks, I mix somewhere in the 40:1 neighborhood, I just eyeball it now and go off the color. It's not the best practice I know but my jetting is rich for my setup and can handle it if my mix is A LITTLE oil heavy.

Isn't this too little oil? I was thinking on running 20:1 on my AF24 engine...nearly identical with the AF16.
BTW...my engine fan shroud is old and ugly. Any source where can I get a replacement? Honda does not make them anymore...
As a project I was thinking on replicating the standard one in aluminum sheet...but this would be a lot of work...and I don't think I got (enough) skills to shape it.
Any compatibilities from other brands?

Most are running in a range of 32 to 1 to 50 to 1 . 40 is a good mid point . 24 to 1 you will be changing alot of plugs .
Depends on quality of oil and how many rpms you run at .
If you are running a extreme build or cheap oil run closer to 30 to 1 .

What fuel to oil ratio do you recommend for a stock / standard engine with a cancelled oil pump?

Between 40 to 50 to 1 would be where I would target. Birds is pretty extreme and he gets by with around 40 to 1

I think we're about to have very similar builds. I just picked up a PG Short for my DIO. I have a 21 OKO on there now but may switch to the 24. When I was tuning before I think the power jet was messing with me because when I switched to the 21 I got it tuned in a fraction of the time I spent messing with the 24. Did you block off the power jet on the OKO 24? Are you using the stock needle? Thanks!!

Since I'm planning on addressing the front suspension brakes and wheels... Might as well right..
