Looks plenty safe. Bad thing about metal is your variator will clang at idle and I'd imagine prob still damage the guides on the vari itself.

I think your right about making them out of a metal, I can keep buying them or i can build new ones out of a better grade plastic that will take the punishment better... thinking now of something along the lines of a plastic used on craftsman screwdriver or a poly urethane hammer.. Still researching plastics

I can be so stupid at time's, LOL I know the plastic material and where to get it....... The Plastic used in the industrial cutting boards at work, I work in a slaughter house, this stuff is very very tough I can get some tomorrow and begin fabricating new ones from that, you can't break that stuff with a hammer.... Arrrrg of course...

Hi Fast, so far so good... but I really have not driven it as much this week as I wanted to.. knoticed a small wobble in my front end, turned out to be a bent rim, I'm guessing I did that when I layed it down. Soo that opened up a new mod project, Since my brakes were under powered for the speeds I'm getting I decided to go with a 12" front rim and new tire ( Pirelli again ), also putting a master cylinder and caliper from a 150 hansom boy on it.. I'm also looking for a couple small radiators and a small mechanically driven external oil pump for the cooling system.. The plan is to use the bikes front end air resistance to ram the air thru the radiators, thru the ducting that will be installed behind the radiators, and into the front of the CVT and out the back of the CVT and it's venting.. The oil pump will run off the shroud cooling fan... Any way that's the plan and what I'm building to solve the heat problems both oil and CVT at the same time..
