i weight 220 lbs and i carry 3 gallons of fuel on board, so close to 238 pounds. I think.

The stock variators have big kets I've never broken. The Hoca and other clones have the same as the GY6. You can see 'em in the links on the last page.

That's the Malossi Over Range variator. It's beefy. Don't have a lot of miles on it, but no issues so far. www.g-forcepowersports.com/mamu.htmlStock is on the left , Hoca w/GY6 style bushings/keys is center, Malossi OR on right.

Just a quick update Mileage shown 5771.8. 897 miles after Fawkes rebuild using the stroker. All is running good variator is doing well. Fawkes seems happyiest on long distance drives.

Lots of work but i must admit l sure love driving him. Not bothered by head winds or hills its just a pleasure to drive.

I thought of taking another plastic fan like the main fan on the flywheel and doing the same thing in some way.

That would work, certainly, if you can somehow make it fast to the axle. Probably easiest to adapt the fastener that holds the stock fan, so that the nut can still be tightened down sufficiently. Trivia; When my guides disintegrated (as Larry's did), there was no trace left of them. They blew out of the CVT :-)
