hello all
I am having issues with my current scoot, its taking me like 50 kickstarts to get this thing running when i start it up first time in the day, what issues would the scoot be having that could cause this (my foot hurts please help me!!!)
FYI the battery is a POS and advance auto ripped me off so im going to file with the BBB for them selling me junk and not honoring to replace it,
Battery aside the kicking is unbelievable
it shouldnt take that much no way ever right?
FYI so that you know my nericher was broken and i have removed it completely and capped that section of the carb off with a plastic cap that has holes to allow air to flow through it
Once it starts it will run fine all day, but it shouldnt be this exhaustive to get it running
where should i check (tear carb down?, fuel lines are brand new, check those?)
thoughts!

sounds like a fuel delivery problem to me. get a can of starting fluid, shoot it in the air box or whatever and see it it fires easier.

First off, If you have air entering the auto enricher port then the thing is going to run screwy. You are better off plugging it off completely with a hunk of chewing gum or some silicone but the best thing would be to get a new auto enricher.
How long has it been since you did the valves? If you have a tight valve then you can lose compression.
What color is the spark plug?

This is his "new" 150cc, as in brand new i believe? My thoughts, I would replace the auto enricher, and try the valve adjustment, like Fox said. If this is a new scooter, battery, not charging, it is possible you were one of the lucky folks to get a new scooter with a bad stator.....or a wire not connected properly.

What color is the spark plug? see thats the thing fox, the reason i put that modded cap on in the pic below was BECAUSE it was running screwy when the HOLE WAS PLUGGED (and the guy i worked with off of scootdawg say most people say its the opposite example lets say the engine is running at idle (fuel/air screw 2 turns out from full closed position) if i plug the hole and the idle is set say at 2k rpms the engine conks out and dies, if i let iar flow THROUGH it at 2k rpms the engine will rev up to 3k rpms with air flowing in The enricher was bad most people say to not run with one anyway the battery is another issue but it could just be dying from all the turning over it takes to get the engine started as for the valves while not a highlight i dont really want to take that cap off again i just did those valves when i put the new heado n not a month ago thanks for all the help everyone

What do I know anyway? I've only been wrenching on these things for close to 7 years.

I've never tried that, always just use a good enricher. I'd think you're sucking in too much air there and leaning it out with it vented. The stock enricher is sealed in there and it works fine that way for most of us. Since you don't wanna use it, I'd try to plug it up, let it warm up, and then adjust the mixture and idle speed and see if it's still running screwy.

I could fix your scooter withing an hour or two if it were on my bench dude. It's a matter of not being lazy and going through and eliminating every possible suspect but you seem to think a valve can't tighten in a month when I've seen it happen multiple times over the years.
Other suspects include: CDI, Stator, Pickup coil, clogged carburetor passages/jets, cracked intake manifold rubber, loose spark plug, bad plug wire/coil/cap
