HaHa. Got ya beat. Way back when the last GT came out in '05-06 the Dealership i was working at had 3 of them pass through. With 1 was in our showroom from when it was delivered in October til mid January when the owner came to pick it up with a car carrier to take overseas. Sweet looking cars though. Can't get them serviced at any old Ford shop either. It needs a clean room with a Master Technician certified to work on the car.

Is that Schmee's car?
I wouldn't want to have that on order when the Corvette was announced.

Is that Schmee's car? I wouldn't want to have that on order when the Corvette was announced. Why? Who would not want to double their money! When you purchased the GT. Ford made you sign a contract saying you would not sell it for two years. The first cars are becoming available on the used market now. And selling for nearly double the original retail price.

The resale price isn't a product of the cars popularity as much as it is it's rarity and Ford's selection process. It's not like I can go into Ford, buy the car, wait two years and then double my money. It's an "educated" lottery.
You can buy a Ferrari and sell it for more then you bought it, but they might not let you buy another. With this, you cannot buy another.
My biggest reason for liking the Corvette is that people are actually going to drive them. Not just put 1000 mi a year on them and rub them with diapers.

You had to submit a video to ford, saying why they should sell you one. Not for normal people like us!
