Im curious what are your top speeds with mid race bores for example polini corsa and MHR rep. Preferably on AC zuma or similarly sized scoots. Ive only had Dio's/honda vertical motor bikes so Im not sure what minarelli horizontals top out at. Please include type of bike and set up please, thank you.

In any application this depends on gearing or pulley sizes, and what you are trying to achieve. A larger cylinder can produce more torque, and a racing cylinder higher rpm. The higher rpm will get you a faster top end with no gearing changes. More torque will allow you to use overdrive pulleys to allow a higher top end, and still be useable in the street. Really depends on your goal, my goal was faster 0-35 times and anything else was just a bonus. My scooter topped out at 35mph stock and struggled to get there. I put on a chamber exhaust pipe and got to 42MPH revving to 10,000 rpm on a stock horizontal minarelli. Not useable for any length of time at that rpm, but my 0-35 time and top end did get better. Eventually put on a 70cc kit and my 0-35 times got even better, my top end did not. Again revving really high at 10,000+rpm, out of gearing or pulley to go any faster. Switched to a larger diameter Malossi Multivar variator, which has a smaller interior diameter on the pulley sheave, than my factory variator. That allowed for a lower gear during take off, which made my 0-35MPH times better. A bonus was my top speed is now 52 mph at around 8000rpm, because I have a larger outer diameter pulley. Through all this and with a little forethought on what I was trying to accomplish. I ended up with a sub 6 second 0-35 time, and as a bonus, top end is 17mph faster at a lower rpm. The lower rpm means I can cruise at 50mph and not have to worry about seizing up my motor.I
The flip side is it is registered as a moped currently not a motorcycle, I could technically be ticketed and plates confiscated for going over 30 MPH. That is why my goal was 35MPH, with enough low end torque to pull hills and take off from a stop without issues. The other reason is my in town speed limit is 30mph, a higher top end really does no good unless I want a ticket.

We had Top Speed List on Zuma Forums for The Corsa and other Mid race set ups
50-55 mph zuma The stock gears really hold you back they are either 13.3 to 1 14.6 to 1 60 mph to 65 mph Is where most builds maxed out with Pipe Variator and better Gears that get you to 11 to 1 or better
70 mph Just a couple breaking that were verifiable . Lot of Extra High Dollar parts and expertise in porting and matching cases needed.
The Yamaha Aerox builds in Europe confirm the same ranges .
I personally have hit 57 with just a sport kit ,tecnigas pipe gears variator etc
If you have alot of money you could probably make them go 100 mph

Since jog based bikes tend be be a lil heavier then honda and dio based bikes.

If I was going to shoot for 65 mph
This is what I already have planned on paper Upgrade Crank or Be prepared to swap at a later date Because of the higher rpms Yasuni C16 so I can run around 11,000 rpms Polini Corsa ,Malossi Mhr ,Stage 6 mk2 Malossi overange or Stage 6 Overrange 10 to 1 or 11 to 1 Gear ratio The mid race builds have enough to push the 10 to 1 gears
Builds similar to this played in that zone

I already had all that planned, pulled the stock crank and removed electric start componets, but Im dont like the look of those chamber pipes. So topspeed maybe down even more. Lol

Your Dio is sweet I looked at your Build thread . I have thought about bringing home parts of a aerox frame ,engine and tires home from Europe when I travelled . I figured I would get alot of questions at the airport So I chickened out.

I had some parts taken away at the japanese airport and we almost missed our plane too. I couldnt prove that a rear shock I bought was oil filled not gas. Best bet if you dont know ship it.

I had a 10" wheel GTX, chinese minarelli clone. I guess Mopeds Direct imported them with Ruima cranks that were large taper and large spline (jog90) here on Oahu. I tried a Motoforce mid race 70 with a Leo Vince ZX-R. It was the fastest of all of my 47mm bores. It seemed like it was being held back by the Leo Vince pipe. I was new to the scene at that time so i really didn't know about pipes. It was a decent set up. Never GPS'd for speed. The speedo needle would go off-scale at "50" and get to an approximate "60+" on the stock speedo. But that's with the stock speedo indicating 5mph over actual. however, it was the first set up that i was actually able to run with the SYMs and ELITEs here on Oahu. Then i moved on to the 90 blocks. No longer dealing with high revs. 54mm bore with a 90cc YMS v8 pipe, Malossi upgears. It stays below 10k rpm. It can outrun a lot of the Hondas and SYMs on oahu. Way less maintenance and its faster than any of the 70cc bores i tried.

Corsa on CPI Mina horizontal case, not matched, vforce reed block, stage 6 intake, Hoca variator, TGB rear pulley, stage 6 pro rep pipe, 12" fatty tires, hanging under a TGB Keywest. Full Tuck, wide open on a road I shouldn't have been on, got just over 70 in GPS. It was good for a very easy 60+mph though. I hardcore trashed that engine when a wristpin clip came out.

Hey room. A lil computer illiterate so I'm trying my best I appreciate if u can hang with me and understand. I just have a general question. I have a brand spanking new 2019 tao tao pony (matte black) 49cc I would like to big bore. If anyone can help with advice on a kit that will not only improve speed but also help with power bc I live in a very mountainous are of upstate NY it would be much appreciated. Everything is stock so far and I have approximately 1000 kil. On the engine. The place I got it from has a 3 month parts warranty. Already replaced Bendix, carb, fuel petcock, and cdi with same stock parts. She isn't kicking over. Tech said it's a compression issue. They are sending new piston and Motorhead I believe it's called. I just want it to be reliable as far as a Chinese Scooter goes and 50 mph is plenty. Thanks for any advice. Your Friend Nick in NY 🛵😁👍💪🗽
