Hello. I have a Piaggio Liberty 50cc 1997 stock engine. When the engine is cold, if I go full throttle it can't accelerate at its full capacity. I seems to be stoped by something, but after 5 seconds of full throttle it starts to run normal. Also, at those 5 seconds it takes out smoke. When the engine is warm it runs good, without any problems. What should I check first?

This is normal. It's because your auto choke is engaged.

I second the auto choke is still engaged
High rpm 2 strokes should be warmed up for a minute before you take off and go wide open .
I start my scoot go get my gear on by that time the idle has dropped back down and the back tire is not spinning fast anymore.

Ok. I will let it to be well warmed up and notice what happens. I let it to get warmed up every time, but I think that I have to give it some time.

Do you have to run WOT when you are first starting out, because of where you are riding? By the time I pull out of my drive, ride mine reasonably for a few blocks it is warm. Guessing what you are seeing is smoke from the extra fuel from the auto enrichment circuit. When first starting out it adds extra fuel to help it start easier.

freeqsee, the above posts are likely right on, but I have a few questions...
Are you using the original two stroke oil pump system? If so, do you add extra oils into the petrol tank? That issue has come up frequently lately...and here near my home every day. Also, what are the current weather conditions where you are? Ambient temperatures, humidity and altitude are key factors.
What is your engine tuning setup to the best of your knowledge?

Oil pump is the original one, I don't add extra oil in the petrol tank and the ambient temperatures are between -5 and 10 degrees Celcius.

OK good! That likely means you can improve your OEM carb, by fixing the auto choke...or save a few bucks and buy a carb with a manual one. Happy times are coming!

I paid more attention to the scooter and I noticed that: even it is cold or warm, if the scooter stays in a place on/off, when I wanna go I go full throttle and it seems to be clogged and it takes out a lot of smoke. When I reach around 30km/h it starts to run normally. This problem appeared after I cleaned up the carb. I think it needs a bit more air, maybe I didn't adjust well the mixture screw. What do you think?

Could be the float needle is sticking and overflowing the carb. I've dealt with a couple scoots that did that. The float went too high, overflowed just a little bit so once the engine got to a certain rpm it was drinking fast enough to not overflow the carb. Every time the scoot fired up it would DUMP smoke for a few minutes. Idle for a bit, then it would get really choppy and sputter off the line.
Since you just cleaned the carb, you could have went opposite and actually gotten something in there. I use a cotton swab dipped in gasoline and clean out the seat when I clean mine.

When I cleaned up the carb I paid a lot of attention to put everything as they were. What I have to do to solve this problem?

I think it is probably 2 stroke oil leaking past the oil pump when the bike is sitting for a while. ...i only say that because you keep mentioning smoke during start up.
