Has anyone ever taken their seat tub to a metal fabrication shop and had it duplicated? i have replaced mine once already and i need another now. this bike is only 7 months old. When I am zipping along and think about the fact that the only thing thats keeping me on is plastic, its unnerving. If you did have one made, do you have photos? thanks. I am going to have one made, I will post pics.

If it makes you feel better, T2 has no fairings or anything else around the seat tub to give it any sort of help staying put should it need it. I have broken a couple of the seat buckets, or cracked really. I started using large washers on both sides of the mounting areas if possible to help a little, since mine always crack right around the mounting holes. I'm big and fat and I cruise fast and I'm not easy on the scoot and it doesn't worry me. I've test rode it at 60+ with just 2 of 4 bolts. I'm not saying it's smart, just sorta some reassurance for you. If you can find a way to make a better bucket, great, but don't worry so much that you spare no expense.
I think metal might be a bad idea. Take a long ride and pay close attention to how much heat can build up under there (some scoots are worse than others though), then imagine it in metal. Might make a nice oven. I think my SunL, the 4T, was the one of mine that got really bad.
