got two scooters out of the garage yesterday (sold one to a friend, and another friend took the one i fixed for him). And acquired a junk 150cc chinese scoot for $20. I didn't know it was 150cc (or anything about it) before i showed up. just that it was a scooter for $20 with a new carb. I think the best thing about the scooter is the sticker my son put on it... He was excited to get to take some bolts off of it.
no kickstart lever but electric start tries to work. maybe with a CVT clean it'll work. Might attempt to leave this at my in-laws land in rural wisconsin...lol

I have rebuilt a couple scooters with my 11 year old .
Upsidide is bonding with your son.
Only Downside is he is going to know how to make one these little scoots into a rocket .

update: was right about the scooter. sticker was the best thing on it.
CVT was a mouse nest...
Starter clutch was broken. So took the whole thing apart just because i hadn't done that on a gy6 before (for fun mostly). Some parts are universal and can be helpful. I mean, having the kickstand spring would have saved me $4 a week earlier. lol

Some of its parts live on in other scooters.
Trying to decide if putting the frame with engine cases and fork/handlebars out for junkers is OK or what to do with that.
