Hi all! I don't think I have ever posted a pic online. I have a screenshot of a video game on steam that I want to post here. Is there a way to get that screenshot on my desktop? It only has share options for social media. I don't do social media. And what is a good free image hosting site?

If I understand you , ; just right click your image in Steam - then "save image as" to location/folder of your choice- then as 90GTVert said - The insert image button is the easiest for me on a PC. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/post/7984 all you have to do is click on insert image - then drag your image from your folder into the "insert image " window |

Thanks fellas. I did 3 searches with no result then thought about the rookie area.Went to the section on how to post pix, and didn't click on the instructions or even scroll down the page where the info is. I hope I was distracted by the pro boards help section.Or I'm a dumbass. Not honestly sure which. My screenshot is locked into steam. I did try the save as.. option but it doesn't do anything when I right click the pix. My net connection is crap right now and steam wont let me simply download my screenshot to my desktop.And I can't even do anything with the screenshots offline.Always online gaming is bulls##t. I'll study their site and see what I find. I get the option to put the screenshots in a browser and it shows up....in the steam browser with options to share on social media.Worthless. With my crap net performance it'll take me some time to figure out steam's nonsense. Then take it step by step to post the screenshots.

what's the game ? - maybe my Linux will be different ; and maybe I can get a screenshot and post it . then you can save as - and post it .

Thanks for the offer jloi.I was finally able to get it on my desktop. I signed into steam and went to my profile to see if the screenshots were there.It said it was set to private and I couldn't view any thing.On my own account .Brilliant. So I got out of Big picture mode, found my screenshots folder, and maximized a picture.There was an option to view it on disk( I didn't see it in Big picture mode).,and voila,a windows type screen came up that I could view it and was able to save it to my desktop.It was sorta deep in the steam files. The game is rise of the tomb raider.I hafta wait til my net becomes more stable to post the screenshot. Which Linux are you running? I have mint on one of my computers.

I am trying to use post image,which automatically popped up after hitting insert image.It's real easy so far. My net is slow right now so the loading of the pic sorta dies @ around 40 %. I think I got it figured though. Thanx fellas.

The easiest way doesn't work 4 me. After 5 tries I got a pic loaded to imgbb , but I don't know how to link it here. Do I need an account?

Jstich,I,m a bit of a Luddite but can manage to get photos to my posts,do you have google,and google drive?they came installed on my tablet but I needed some help from the kids to find google drive,I though it was sat Nav thingy

Thanx guys. I got the pic posted...through internet explorer! (ew) Was using chrome and it wasn't working. It just took a couple minutes, not getting a server sent 0 data error. This is tripping me out .I have all my bookmarks on chrome since IE was slowing down a while ago.. Well, I'll use it to post clever pix...maybe.
