I was just outside cutting and grinding stuff, noticing that the neighbors had a small gathering of maybe 8-10 people talking in a pretty tight huddle outside. Not depressing at all.

It is sad to see Brent. I despair for the human race sometimes. Our cat is quite happy as she get's lots of attention and so does next-doors dog when she goes for a walk and see's us in the back garden or walk's in the house when the door's open. Pets must wonder what's going on. 😊

I hear you frankenmech! I try to stay apolitical, but currently can offer some great comparisons to countries with out being such. It is about preparedness and people. Let me use Thailand and Viet Nam for comparisons. Thai gov is strange but growing the economy. It takes heat and propaganda from the West. A democratic monarchy...separate. The former King who passed, was respected by everyone because of his deeds. The government dropped everything and stood alert when the Covid-19 was announced. Masks mandatory in public. Non essentials shutdown early to force people to stay home. Care centers setup and home delivery for anyone. Borders not closed completely, but mostly. Viet Nam is still a socialist body. Their actions much the same. Most businesses still running. They stopped trade with China for non essential products, until a system of sterile protections can be approved. The borders were closed to China. Flights now stopped. One friend had to quarantine in Korea before retuning home to Saigon. He was in Shanghai on business when they upped the protection level a month ago. Now, go look at Johns Hopkins Covid site... coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.htmlIt is not fun here, but worse in many places. Parts? Materials? Most all suppliers shutdown except for online ordering and protected deliveries. I had one order cancelled by Thai Customs. They said too risky, order later. Not sure why, but I suspect the source was China.

I got a sewing machine. Haven't done anything like that in decades, but I think I still remember how. If I can figure out masks I'll make those for first responders.

Geoff Funny that Geoff my wife asked basically the same question about shed paint and brushes. Luckily for me we have not. 😊

I hate painting, -did way too much of it as a kid. My ex was always trying the same trick with me. I had to curl up and die because she also did a horrible job painting, -that was another trick she used to try to get me to take over. Finally she quit using that trick when my hands got to shaking so bad I did a worse job than she did. Either that or she finally learned to paint, she never did... As a kid I was always assigned to paint the house and also around the store and apartment building. Lots of painting. I think I hate the prep work the worst.

Sorry late to the party,,,I live in farm country,,I’m not a death monger,, I think all of the covid deaths are a tragedy,, but shutting down the world economy is folly,, the coming depression is going to make the one in the 1920’s-30’s look like a good time,, I talk to farmer’s everyday that’s every single day,, they do 3 plantings a year here,, they are not planting this rotation,, so when all the folks in the cities are going to be SOL,, when the cupboard is bare come June/ July,, even if the total fatalities worldwide go to a million ( highly doubtful) that’s .0005% of the population,, hardly something to crash the world over,, In my opinion most countries will not recover economically ,, famine will be widespread,, and the funky paper fiat currency will be worthless,, the currency of the realm will be food ,, guns and ammunition,, bullion in that order,, herd immunity was the answer for this thing,, shelter the elderly and infirm and carry on,, hope you’re ready,,
