Craigs List - no title?

Seems like alot of stolen stuff is fenced on Crags List. I mean I just looked at the local Craigs list and there were SO MANY motorcycles and scooters labled as cash only - no title, "LOST". So how do you buy and register it? If it is stolen, most likely they will catch it when you go to register it and give it back to the owner and you are our $$$$. Right??

Seems like law enforcement may want to check these ads out. But that would take resources. I guess the two wheeled community does not have any clout heh?

I dont think they care about scooters much, unless you are right in front of their nose speeding, then of course they are interested.

well some states dont need titles for scooters
here in wi we need them but up in michigan you dont you just need the registration sheet from micigan

some enduro style bikes may never have been registered for the street
and i for one have had several bikes that i got cleaning out barns where dad has passed on the kids forgot the bike was in there and have no idea where dad may have putten the title

heck i even went to look at one where the guy just didnt want to take the time to go and get a replacement title at the dmv
