What an IDIOT

A little while ago I drove off from a light downtown and had a Benelli Andretti passed me on the right between me and the curb and then cut it real close to get in front of me, scared the hell out of me. Then this fool went straight in the left turn lane on a red light one block from the police station (no cops to be seen of course). Then the fool stayed left not allowing any cars to pass him. one car did go around him by crossing the double yellow and the fool stuck his foot out mockingly kicking the car. He kept looking behind him to see if the law was closing in, he knew he was acting like a jackass and didnt care as long as the law wasnt around. I followed said idiot jackass until he stopped at a gas station. when he took his helmet off i could tell he was about 20. Big 200lb 6 ft something bully looking punkass who you could easily imagine taking kids lunch money back in elementary school. Its people like this who think scooters are toys and they can do as they please and give the rest of us a bad name. I hope his Benelli blows up.

We have had 6 killed on scooters and scooter related accidents in 3 months here. One idiot was on the freeway here on a 150cc and got hit by a truck. I live in the Raleigh NC Triangle area and on the 40, 95 and the 440 beltway, people fly. Hell they fly in town. I wouldnt get out there on 440 on anything less than a 250. Idiots like this give the rest of us a bad name. I see more and more scooters every week. These dumbasses are what is going to bring tighter regulations down on all of us.

Scooters are motor vehicles that can get you and other people killed, and thus bring tighter regulations down on the rest of us. Please be respectful if not for your own ass but for the rest of us and the freedom for all of us to ride, including yourself.

I also agree that scooters are not toys. If you fail to respect them, you'll get hurt eventually.

I've only been riding since early summer and I too have had my close calls where idiot cars and mostly pick-up trucks and mini vans thinks its fun to speed way up to pass on the right side going from a two lane rd down to a 1 way rd.

I drive very offensively and have so far avoid an accidents. I too think everyone who doesnt own a scooter scoffs at us and Im learning to really lay on the horn!! And because Im nicer than idiots with this attitude, when my scooter slows to almost a crawl going up a hill (20-25) I drive way over to the right as safely close to the curb as I can and angerly watch them fly past me and some even look at me and laugh!!!! GGGGRRRRR
