well...
I have one of these now, until I can find a way to move it along. After 4 hours of disassembly, cleaning, and putting back together. It runs nice!
There were at least two mouse nest locations, a wasp nest, spiders, etc. etc. in this guy. Dirty scoot.
It has a Malossi belt on it but otherwise everything seems oem.
I'll post pictures again once it's back together fully.

Yeah I was wondering how common it is. The sticker on one side has cobra racer on it, but it has the bigger tires and the front grill thing that are the cobra cross variety.
The tires on it were totally worn down, useless flat rear but the front still holds air.
It didn't have the oem ignition but some cheap generic ignition that would work on pretty much anything (no key though).
The restriction wire was attached when I got it. It still went up to 40mph on the speedo (no clue on gps/actual) and that was with a crappy 10x3.5 wheel/tire from the scrap 150cc gy6 I had laying around.
The drive boss may have been modified - it had an indent in it and looked like it may have been custom shaved down. That side of the drive boss also wouldn't fit completely through the variator.
The vin is real rusty and super hard to read so I haven't figured it out yet. May have to do a rubbing.

Took a lot of searches but I think I figured out the VIN. If it's correct then it might be a 2001. The frame VIN is so rusty it almost seems intentionally messed up. Would a salvage yard potentially get rid of VINs? Just seems odd how rusted the thing is. I suppose it could have been in a wet climate for awhile?
The tires were both completely worn and that seems to be end of life to many people with scooters.

Well, apparently the rear wheel holds air okay. went right on the bead. Don't think i'll mount this one though... How does a tire get worn like this?

Seat is the main thing lacking right now.

Looks like your engine bushings are bad or your mount has bad bushings . Your dog tracking down the street scrubbing your tire bald ! It happens a lot on chinese scooters i have changed a lot of them . Put the bike on the double stand grab the rear tire shake it from side to side . If you have a lot of play you found it ,all scooters have a small amount but if you can shake it a 1" or more done change them .. Everytime you hit the throttle the motor shifts sideways under a load .
