I've signed up looking for info on getting a cheap scooter.. Have never owned one, but was thinking, if cheap enough, I'll get one to putt putt around with, when I head to the beach...
I almost pulled the trigger on a Chinese 49cc scooter when I noticed the HP ratings moved from 1.8 to 3hp. This has me really confused.
As long as I can hit 35mph I'm good, which I expect a 1.8hp scooter will do. My issue is acceleration. I don't want to be struggling to get across intersections.
I'll post in the general forum, but I've got questions about this..
Thanks all!

Chinese 49cc scooter . . As long as I can hit 35mph I'm good . . My issue is acceleration. 139QMB slider perspective. If you are already researching big-bore-kits . . save yourself a LOT of aggravation and initially select at least a 125cc scooter!
