yeah I noticed price differences just in last few days. haven't really nailed down a top dollar . just trying to get out the best I can . since I'm not really a gamer , the longer I look , the cheaper I think I can find everything . it'll still be overkill . I don't need any WI-FI at all . I don't know about ethernet connections , so when one is advertised/described I have no idea what it is or means . So, don't know what's good /what I need .
gonna take my time. learn more

Find specs on your mobo interests. They should tell you how much RAM they support and how many slots. Most are fine if you just use 2 slots. The instructions or mobo labeling will usually tell you which ones to use if only using 2. Also, check timings on the RAM. Some are cheap because they are slower. I can't tell you how much real world difference it makes. If you look up RAM timing, you'll be able to find info about that and specs are generally posted with RAM listings. If you plan to use a very large air cooler like the Noctua, it's not a bad idea to check RAM height. Most are similar. You may not be able to clear the tallest RAM. I had to jack one fan up to clear RAM and only fit it because the case I got is huge... but it still barely fit. Another idea is to browse built PCs. I did that when I was looking. I would have skipped building if I found what I wanted already made for a good deal. With the 3900X, everything I found that met my requirements was way pricey because no one else builds this kind of rig without a top notch GPU I guess. You may actually find something you like though. Just look up the builder and make sure it's well rated and check the components used to make sure it's what you like.

Ok. thanks man . lot of good info for me . ram timing. I'll do that . the way I decided on the Gskil ram was I googled reviews for top 2020 ram memory - I installed Discord which I haven't used in a while - found a bunch of Linux servers so now I can mic/chat with people about builds. already met 1 guy . I'm gonna follow up on all the info you gave me . I signed up with Newegg and AMD too. partspicker next. I think I might be able to get a couple of pieces this month and then the rest after the 1st- since I'm gettin so much help.
that's a good idea about pre built pc's to see what they're using for parts .

AMD specs for Ryzen 3 3300X Unlocked Yes CMOS TSMC 7nm FinFET Package AM4 PCI Express® Version PCIe® 4.0 Thermal Solution (PIB) Wraith Stealth Default TDP / TDP 65W System Memory System Memory Specification 3200MHz System Memory Type DDR4 Key Features Supported Technologies Zen Core Architecture AMD Ryzen™ Master Utility AMD Ryzen™ VR-Ready Premium Foundation Product Family AMD Ryzen™ Processors Product Line AMD Ryzen™ 3 Desktop Processors Platform Boxed Processor Launch Date 05/2020 For the X570 MSI mobo i see a couple of complaints about this - "It’s a no-frills X570 board with less than stellar VRMs." but like this guy said , I won't be doing any overclocking . So, there's no wifi with this board, no rgb waste , has PCI 4.0 , 2 USB 3.2 gen 2 and 2xm2 . just what the DR. ordered . I'm gonna keep the Gskil mem to go with the 1st 2 pieces and the EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Suppl so far $159. 100. 104 109 ____ Brent , I'm looking at coolers now. is your cooler fan noisy at all. I know I don't need something that big/powerful, pretty sure. I only see 1 other fan in your case . is that it ? I don't know if I should look at cases 1st , cause some cases come with fans; or just get my own fans, but don't know what size yet; seeing 240mm , 280mm . Still have to figure out. with any luck I'll know all my parts by tomorrow .

Still have to figure out. with any luck I'll know all my parts by tomorrow . This case has 3 140mm fans included. 1 in the rear that you saw. 2 on the front panel. It has room for bunches of fans, but I don't really need it. Mine is setup to automatically turn up the fans if it starts to heat up very much (pretty much only happens with video production or an occasional quick burst). It makes obvious noise at that point. Nothing that really bothers me, but I could imagine it bothering some people. In regular use, I don't really notice it running. This case does have sound deadening on the panels, but even with the front sound panel off to reveal mesh, I don't hear it much in normal operation. In fact, I can't hear it at all right now with background noise of a TV in another room and I'm right beside it. I would look for case fans only after you pick a case. Plenty of them have enough fans. Even if reviews say they're loud fans, you could see for yourself if they won't be hard to get to later. Noise level of PCs in reviews is such a subjective thing. For the CPU cooling, I'd decide after the CPU is a sure choice and before you pick a case or along with the case so you know what you need to be able to fit.

I think I got the right memory- Computer systems with AMD Ryzen processors are known for its performance scaling with memory speed, and Trident Z Neo is engineered to achieve optimal performance with the latest AMD Ryzen 3000 series processors on AMD X570 motherboards. Under the latest AMD Ryzen 3000 series platform, DDR4 memory frequency support has increased by leaps and bounds, allowing the X570 chipset platform to run an unprecedented memory speed record of DDR4-5774MHz– the fastest memory speed ever achieved on an AMD platform under extreme liquid nitrogen cooling www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/g-skill-tridentz-neo-ddr4-3600-mhz-review,2.html shoot - where do I get the liquid nitrogen hardware ?

MKDeuce, hey , how are you ? thanks for pitchin in but I hate to tell you but I've really got it in my head now for a x570 and a 3300x . I saw some incompatibility in my parts list at pcpartspickers so I made some changes . Tell me what you think , if you don't mind . Do you see any problems with these choices . do you think everything will go in this case and connect to each other ? here's one with a card that's too much and a PSU that's way too much- pcpartpicker.com/user/PCloipart/saved/kMtdD3and same build minus those 2 - pcpartpicker.com/user/PCloipart/saved/#view=QcPdD3I would really like all these components except for the 2 I mention; I just can't find a PSU with the additional 12v socket with less than 750 watts and I just don't know what video card to look at . I'm pretty sure I saw where the 3300X is gonna go for around $99. so that would put me at $600. without these 2 items ; but gotta have something . I've been searching round and round for about 5 hrs .

pcpartpicker.com/user/PCloipart/saved/kMtdD3This link is set to private pcpartpicker.com/user/PCloipart/saved/#view=QcPdD3This one is missing a video card and power supply The reason I picked the 3200G over the 3300X is the 3200G has integrated graphics where the 3300X does not and requires a video card and adds to the total cost. Also something to look out for is B550 boards should be coming next month and should be a better value over X570. What additional 12v socket are you referring to? For what you said you wanted to do with the pc you shouldn't need anything fancy for a video card. The 3300X is a better buy over the 3100 but here is the pricing Ryzen 3 3300X $120 Ryzen 3 3100 $99 Here's my new recommend build based on you wanting 3300X and X570 pcpartpicker.com/list/FpZT9G

I was gonna offer you my AMD Wraith Prism cooler that came with the 3900X for shipping when I realized that the 3300X comes with a lesser cooler. Then I saw the link below. Sounds like you may be able to do better for not that much more. They list the Noctua in the link as for over clocking, but I'm in the overkill camp for cooling. You really aren't going to find a fan that makes your CPU run too cool. Either way, if budget concerns are the prime factor, for $20 or less you can get one that they list or get in touch for the cooler that came with my 105W processor. premiumbuilds.com/cpu-coolers/best-cpu-coolers-for-ryzen-3-3300x-3100/AMD coolers compared : www.techspot.com/review/1635-amd-wraith-coolers-compared/

If gaming isn't a priority, maybe something smaller and less power hungry might suffice?
I recently built an Asus A310 Mini with a Ryzen 2200G for about $265 total. 35-watt 2-core 4-thread cpu with Vega 3 graphics, 8mb dual channel DDR4, 120gb SSD with a 120GB 2.5" sata laptop for extra storage. I run Linux on it (no thank you Microsoft) and it can do light gaming as a bonus. The whole system is about the size of a standard ATX power supply.
Had a Inspiron 11 AMD dual core mini laptop with Radeon R4 and it struggled to play Xonotic (FPS game) chugging down to 15fps at times. The Asus mini desktop blows through it at 125-140 fps at 720P graphics settings at max.

thank you ALL for your input.
I've joined a couple of more forums for PC etc. Also joined several servers at Discord for PC help
seems like in the past 2 days all parts have completely dried up
so, with these various places I've been looking at for help, ideas, etc . ..... and staying up last nite till 4:30 and bout going blind ; and what with the disappointment of , now , not being able to find anything and being completely overwhelmed with changes I've made due to all the help I've gotten and , and , and , I've decided to shoot myself...... no just kidding .
What I will do is take a step back and regroup , relax a bit ; initially I was in a big hurry cause I worry about what I have now dieing ; but, it is what it is ; so with lack of availability , my expertise with PC's , I'll just back off a bit , slow myself down .
I'll have to come back later and read your latest info.
right now off to Publix .
where's that damn mask ?
