When I start my scooter sometimes when I try to give it some gas it just bogs down and tries to die. If I keep trying it will finally take of and run. I have cleaned the carb twice. The choked works and I believe the air fuel adjustment is right. Anybody have any ideals.

I have the same problem, but my electric choke is not working. Its a stock 2005 zuma 49cc teikei carbuator, with electric choke. I cant find one under $ 140.00 bucks. My question is will the dellorto 14 mm choke work, its $41 bucks. $140 IS ECECTRIC choke only, tks

Welcome NHRARacer! I haven't messed with a Yamaha carb, so I'm not really sure what works. I know they use a different throttle setup than the Chinese stuff I'm used to. If the rest is pretty much the same though, maybe a typical Chinese enricher will work? There's one for $10 about 1/3 way down this page. www.scrappydogscooters.com/COMMON_PARTS.htmlIf it looks like that, it could be worth trying for $10 if no one else can give you a better answer.

if it only happens right after you start it up, its probably cus the choke and enricher are both activated so your already running way rich then you give it some gas which makes it waaaay to rich and it bogs down. my beater is the same way. if it happens randomly hot or cold then it probably is the enricher

I can pull the electric choke out, pull a little gas in and it starts right up. It even idles down, long as i keep my finger over the hole, runs fine. Has full throttle and runs fine, till i remove my finger. Any help will be very greatfull, from all i can fine, its cheaper to replace the carbuator.
