For some reason it never occurred to me last night, but it could possibly be the needle bearing or piston, doubtful but possible. If that's the case I can deal with that. If the cranks toast the bike is toast. I'm praying for a failed needle cage bearing...

Needle bearing fell apart as soon as I took the pin out of the piston. No shavings or anything in the crank case. Was hoping I had mixed up the old and new bearings when I put it together. Stupid mistake, but I'mma dumb ass so I suppose it is expected! Now, I did have a new bearing I ordered after I got the bike together, so I dropped it in and slapped that shit back together.
Aaannnd.... It still has a knock. Not as bad, not as loud, but it's there. I think, anyway. I hear something bangin' around in there. Guess the fuckin crank is smoked. That's a fatal flaw for me. I don't have a $100 to waste on a new crank and bearings and seals, just to turn around and have something else blow apart. I'm just done. Idk what else to do other than just park it and let it fucking rot. And I can't do that. I can't just leave something like that alone. It's gonna eat me up to park this fuckin thing.
Tomorrow after work I'mma pull the flywheel and make sure the stator plate is solid, but I'm relatively certain the knock is internal. Of course it is. It's me. I. Give. The fuck. Up.

Take the crank on the variator side and wiggle it by hand . You want zero play or close to it .

Take the crank on the variator side and wiggle it by hand . You want zero play or close to it . Oh yeah, it was the small end. Unoerceptable (by naked eye) ovaled. You know when you put a bearing in the small end and slide the wrist pin in, how the bearing is sort of a tight fit? This one just slops around. So yeah The one spare crank I had I forgot that the threads on both ends we're fuckered. Tried to out it together and had it half way there when I saw the threads. I re-cut the threads on both ends. I know it probably won't hold for long, but I just wanna ride this thing. It's such a fun little fucker, and the looks I get when the front wheel comes up are just icing on the cake. Crank is currently in the freezer. Going to try it tonight. ..

Got the crank in. Got the engine sealed up, and installed. And now it just won't fucking start.
For some reason that I am not seeing, it just isn't firing right. It will fire once when I press the start button, and once again when I release it. But it won't fire as the starter turns the motor or when I kick it over. Tried a new battery, and even the car battery and cables. Still the same shit.
So now I'm worried the CDI may in fact be toast, I mean the bike was on fire, but it ran great even after the fire. So Idk wtf I'mma do this time. I'm gonna try swapping in a different coil later, but the Beamer is a sign for wire and the could I have are dual wire, I'll just run the ground prong to the frame ground.

After struggling with the current CDI mess a real good dude here told me he had a working stock Eton CDI, did the deal so it should be here really soon. I might actually get to ride this bike before winter hits. Maybe!

Got the replacement CDI, but now I just haven't got the time to play. Figures. I haven't even tried it out yet. Ugh
