Mine is a Peregrine chick a little ball of fluff hatched recently mum just left the nest and dad,s on duty at the moment if the other egg hatches it will be a great success for this pair.High up and safe on Rochdale Town Hall there is a web can on them,it,s not for the squimish raw in tooth a claw etc,but this falcon has clawed it,s way back from extinction in the UK,with a little help from us.

Geoffh, wow! Peregrines really help cities. Two decades ago, the NC Aquarium at Roanoke Island had a pole set up for an Osprey nest. They recognized it and built. They didn't see, or care about, the camera which provides incredible footage of nest behavior. And then an intruder occured. A loosed parrot took up visiting residence. They all got along until everyone left the area. So,,,,why the hell can't the rest of us get along???

I don't,t speak like the queen,I have a regional accent that my wife of 25years still struggles with if I chat with another native of our"village" think Texan drawl versus Bronx but we manage most days .I really enjoy the contrast,we still infer some different meanings to simple requests such as "draw the curtains" will see a pen and paper thrust in my lap and the sunlight still blinding me.
