Hi everybody, just bought myself this Baotian City BE and trying to tune it back to what is was intended to... I found this open cable today, the black one in front of the petrol filter: ![](https://i.postimg.cc/TPZWP77N/IMG-20200525-133512.jpg) There's no power through it, it's not - (earth) and I can't measure any resistance on it... Everything electric on the scooter is working... What can it be???

![(welcome4)](//storage.proboards.com/2855264/images/eolkCxcces0fFuVPfl0M.png) Petro, These Chinese scooters are so generic yet specific to each model only someone with that model can help. What does the other end seem to be attached to? Follow the cable back an give is some more pictures. From this one it looks like it comes from the stator area and runs under the carb. It could go to a carb warmer that's used in cold temps to keep the gas vapor from freezing. That would be my guess but with out more its just a guess.

Thank You for the quick answer! ![8D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/insane.png) I am familiar with this builds, this is my fourth GY6 scooter, two hopless cheapo chinese ones and one Kymco later... Comparing to those, this one actually seems to be the more decent one, even better quality than my 2015 Kymco agility! Back on topic, while I'm quite handy with motoring, electricity has never been a good friend, I guess I just leave it like it is and just enjoy the rides... ![8D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/insane.png) Thank you!

Clutch speed sensor restriction? Yes! I removed the belt cover to have a look at the belt and there it was, disconnected. Problem solved! ![8D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/insane.png)

Ah. Now I know why there is a wire leading from somewhere around and up to the bottom of the CVT belt cover. I have a Victoria in turquoise with 13" whitewall tires that has that wire. I think I knew at one time what it was for, but now my memory has been renewed. I can't remember if it is in service or flopping in the breeze at the moment. The Victoria is equipped with fold-out rear foot pegs for a second passenger. It is the first and only machine I have seen with tires large enough to mount on a passenger vehicle(pinto/vega/sprite from back when). Its plastics must weigh in at 50 lbs(20+kilos), not only thick but with a large surface area. It runs, but it is sooooo slow. tom added: It was also offered with a 125cc powerplant in Europe: www.motostop.eu/moto/JONWAY_Victoria_50_2017_SCOOTER/16194 I can just imagine this on the winding roads of Bermuda or other Caribbean island, cruising at about 20mph(max), two up. Coupla tourists in shorts enjoying the island. Or on the streets of the Miami strip that has all the old Art Deco hotels... tom
