:-[good evening all i have a nst 150 in my shop came in with a headlight issue they would come on when you first started the scooter then they would slowly fade out completely so i did some checking and found that the wires from the stator assembly were smashed so i just replaced the stator assembly now they come on when you rev the engine up but at an idle no headlights at all everything else works just fine turn signals tail light horn ect just no headlights . could a bad rectifier/regulator cause this issue or could it be the resisitor i have been reading about and also were up front would this resistor be at any help would greatly be apperciated i will be online awhile tonight so if you have and idea please let me know thanks
update if i remove one headlight out of the system i can get the other one to work but only while i rev the engine if the motor idles then the headlights die out im unable to locate the resistor that the diagrams show also at one point in my testing i actually blew one of the blubs out i need help what should i look at should i put a new regulator in it if i do and that dont help where should i look next need to get this fixed customer wants there scoot back please any advise would greatly be apperciated you can pm me or call me on my cell i would be glad to listen to your input thankd

Welcome to the forum. I'd start with checking engine/frame grounds and then a regulator/rectifier would be my next guess. I don't think there should be any resistors in there other than what's in the regulator/rectifier.

I know I have no other resisters in my 150's.
