I was looking around for some information on a DF50sst and ran across this forum link on a video on YouTube. I recently purchased one and was looking for a community forum that deals with them. Glad to see it seems I've been directed to the right path!
I have a df50sst like I stated before, bone stock. Motor is a 1P139QMA. From what I've read on here that's the same thing as 139QMA/QMA139. I am looking to upgrade the scooter to at least 45-50 mph. I've tried to research parts and where to start but, I'm unsure as to where to start. Since it's bone stock.
I've looked into 5g rollers, performance exhaust, new carb. I am fairly new to scooters. So I apologize if I'm not explaining my goal correctly.
So far I've got an ngk spark plug + coil, and I am going to add a digital tach. I was going to start with the variator. Looking for more bottom end, with just a little more top end. At the moment since it's bone stock. Bought brand new. Came with .1 mile. Now has 119 miles. So I'm assuming I need a bit more time to break the engine in, should be good to go with another hundred miles on it or so I'm hoping. I hadn't pushed it for to long. Top speed so far has been around 32-33mph. I might reach 35 after a bit more time possibly.. But like I said I would like to achieve that 45-50mph mark. That would allow me to get out of the way of traffic when I need to. Which is why I would like a bit more top end as well. Decent take off, and respectable top end for my area. Houston, Tx
Excited to see what I can learn from this community. Hope you guys/gals are staying safe, and healthy!

Welcome to the forum, your best bet is to start a build thread from the get go,it helps us to follow your build and watch it progress,it,s a 4 stroke I think so you won,t hear much from me but welcome again.

With 45-50MPH as a goal, you need to plan on a big bore kit. CDI, rollers, exhaust and so on are only small steps toward that. 47mm big bore at minimum, possibly move up to 50mm+. The larger kits are more likely to cause a crank failure though. Also put a cam on your wish list.

welcome to the forum. Dialing in the transmission you with a bigger better variator will get you a few mph . When you get the tach you will be able to tell if you have a restricted cdi You wont rev past 7k most times even as you change rollers your rpms will stop at the same place . A bigger engine will do the most to push you past 40

Alright. So far. I've gotten a digital tac by koso, ngk spark plug + coil. Just ordered an 80cc bbk. As well as a larger rocker arm + cam. Ordered the parts from rollingwrenchdenver.com Which cdi do you think I may need to swap over to? And possibly another carb.

Which would be a good upgrade from stock car? I'm about to do an 80cc install when the parts come in. Just wanted to know what a good choice would be? Aside from the 80cc install the only other updates are listed above. I plan on doing maybe a performance variator or just buy a performance set that would come with springs and rollers. I need to find out what rollers it has stock. I think like 12g or something like that? DF50sst
Any suggestions are welcomed, thanks

19-20mm CV carb should be fine. Stock is often sealed and has a non-adjustable needle. Otherwise stock is usually alright for a 47mm bore.

I'm having a bit of a tough one. I'm trying to decide which bbk to get. The 60 or the 72/80. I'm only trying to be able to get around 50. I see ones on amazon and ebay. But I don't wan to purchase the wrong one. ( Missing parts ). Anyone know of a good "complete" kit? Been looking around

Parts for scooters has a couple of members on here, and quite a few very happy customers I would steer away from eBay amazon etc and use specialist scooter supplier.

I would like to have a conversation with them to find out more. I was hoping to stay away from eBay lol. I'll check them out. I wonder who the members are on here? I'll probably just have to give them a ring. Last thing I want to do is mix up parts after all. Thanks for the suggestion
