A bit of Yamabond will sort it. At least you found it before running it.

I have some epoxy left over from modding my airbox i'll use some of that to try and seal it up. Scootertuning is sending me another stage6 kit just in case that doesn't work.
Think I should find a cheap Taotao to sacrifice to appease the scooter gods.

Ended up using permatex cold weld, felt like it'd be more of a permanent fix than epoxy. After numerous leak tests finally think I got it sealed. Its held 8psi for 15mins but giving it another 15 mins to make sure. Now will 50:1 premix be fine for the Corsa or should I be running more oil like 40:1 or 32:1?

df41590. If that is not sealed, I don't know what is.

df41590. If that is not sealed, I don't know what is. The intake didn't give me issues after the cold weld. It was leaking around the spark plug(New Plug fixed it) then it was leaking around the header(exhaust is a friday special the pipe was sticking out past the flange slightly)

Here's a little bit of it's first start. Surprised it started so easily. Decided to run 32:1 premix have 102MJ/45PJ in it now, waiting for it to cool down so I can throw the shrouds and seat back on take it for a little ride.

Definitely needs some tuning. But damn is it quick as it sits, just down to the end of my street(1 1/2-2 city blocks) its pulling 47mph where the contessa was 40mph. tomorrow couldn't come soon enough.

Went out to ride this morning, look down at the temp gauge and it was reading 273* after sitting overnight. Slapped on the vapor, and took it for a ride. Temps were wanting to go over 350* at >1/4, old temp gauge maxing out at 328* on prev rides. Lucky I didn't soft seize it. Messed around: switched over to 40:1 and raised the needle as high as I can still getting 330* on short WOT bursts. Luckily scootertuning had a 100-109 kit so overnighted it. Going to try the 103MJ when it arrives. Afterwards go down to a 42PJ since it cools down very fast when coasting, wants to bog on take off, and needs a little throttle to start hot. Then onto CVT tuning.
Got a top speed of 56.7mph which surprised me since i'm still running the stock ~13.7:1 gears.

56 mph on a fresh build you should have a couple more mph after it breaks in .

Okay, so I wanna pick your guys brains a lil bit. I'm still messing with carb tuning trying to get it free of any bogging and safe temps. What's been going on is my temp gauge(TrailTech Vapor) indicates lean after sustained 1/4-3/4 throttle if I vary the throttle in the range temps stick around 270*F if I stay at any one throttle position between 1/4-3/4 the temps will climb going as high as 330*F (with my current 98MJ peak temps plateau at 342*F taking ~2.5mi of WOT to get there). I'm using the W7 that came with the carb, if I have the clip in the second from bottom position it bogs after any quick throttle changes can usually get it not to bog if I ease into it. If I have the needle one position above that it has a S*** ton of get up and go in the 1/4-3/4 range more than WOT, but is noticeably higher pitch than WOT. It also seems to warm up fast and runs warmer for the first 1-2mi after cooling to ambient temp which makes me think air leak. Things i've tried... 99MJ top speed drops a couple mph, gurgles, even the 98 will have a slight gurgle if it is >90*F W9 Needle = too rich only have 1/8 and full throttle Checked to make sure I had a 2T atomizer (AU262) Pressure tested several times holds 8psi for 1hr no problem(I cannot for the life of me get the silencer to seal, but am under the impression any leak after the stinger won't affect A/F mix just cause it to be louder. Is that correct?) Swapped temp gauge with a TTO(still have to ride it with it, but both read within degrees of each other from 86-220*F) The only other thing I can think of causing it to be lean is I don't have the dust boot where the throttle cable goes into the carb because of the setup I had to shorten one of the legs on a 90* elbow so the seat wouldn't hit up against it and pinch off my polini 360 intake. I do have electrical tape around it. This is the spark plug after ~100mi with the 98MJ mostly part throttle, super rich makes no sense to me(running 40:1). Exhaust pipe also has 1mm of carbon built up on the inside after 1000mi At this point i'm about to ignore the temp gauge and run with the 98MJ and the clip in the leaner position where I have good throttle response and see if it seizes.
