Ok I still can not figure out why my headlight is pretty much useless with any wattage in it. I have try a 45/45 and the 35/35 i have in there now is brighter. What voltage should i be seeing at the light socket. I beleive when i tested it before it was like 13 volts was all with the motor reved to about 3 or 4 grand. Any ideas. I don't want to order a stator to change it out just to try it as i have to order stuff most of the time from over seas as I have a Derbi with the piaggio motor in it.

Unless you can see a lack of current @ the bulb (the light cast by the bulb is not "white") you HAVE to assume the housing (lens and reflector) assembly is NFG. We are not talking a LOT of wattage here, likely @ home you would have difficulty reading under a 35-45W lamp, the difference being, between a lamp @ home, and a headlight assembly, the focus. Sadly (or realistically) a lot of scooter headlight assemblies aren't what they should be.

I'm kind of thinking that for some reason I may not be getting the proper about of voltage to the light to light it. I have has china scoots with better light I mean this thing is really bad. If I remember right I only had like 13 or 14 volts ac at the light socket where it plugs in. Is that enough I have tried a 45 watt bulb and it was even dimmer than the 35 watt.
