Figured id put this gal up while im writing my build thread on my 155. She was brought to me Friday. Its an 05 Zuma, Polini kit, Yasuni pipe, Polini 21mm carb, not sure on trans or reed setup yet. But Im so damn glad to be back on a two stroke, and more importantly finally own a Zuma. I originally wanted a prebug, but this thing was just too damn cool. And people near me are pricing them up the ass. Shes down at the moment cause i tried getting used to how it comes up and i yanked back on the bars. Snapped em off in my hands. Oh well, got a weight kit, new bars, and grips on the way. Definitely wanna tune the trans. Shes screaming a bit too high at WOT, and i wouldnt mind losing a bit of takeoff. She tries coming up every time I get on the gas. Itll 12 on power alone, and im not trying to get there anytime soon 😂 Pics are from the ad, ill take my own once the bars are set up ^^

Now were fuckin talkin!! 😤 Im sure you can get more top end out of that set up with a little tuning even if your a heavier rider i wouldnt settle for less than 55 but dont be discouraged the first two stroke i bought that was already modded had almost identical setup and i think it topped out under 45 but that was a lifetime ago interms of tuning knowledge i used to think cvt tuninig couldnt possibly make that big a diff.... lol.

I took it from all 5g weights to a mix of 6.5 and 7g. I could try to go to all 7g, but i dont want it losing too much grunt. I like how it comes on now though

I agree with 808 You have more available with your set up with some tuning
If you tune the trans right you will have all kinds of grunt and the top end . There is a range of weights that will do both . With that pipe and Kit Combo you probably need to be between 5 grams and 6 to get the Max Rpms out of it .
I basically tune for the lightest weights that give me the best top speed.
do some test runs Try running your 5's with 6 pieces of equal sized aluminum foil weighing 3/4 to 1 gram folded up into each one of the rollers . Run down the road wide open compare top end and how revvy it is to your 6.75 gram set up. Then go lighter run 1/2 5s only and 5 with aluminum and compare notes . You will find one you like best that gives you the top end and revvs out best .

Oh my polini roller kit came in, no aluminum foil here 😜 Honestly, i could play with it a tiny bit more, but i kinda like where shes at. I like cruising without stressing the motor and screaming constantly. Shes getting almost 10k on wide open normally, and only goes to about 10.5 with sustained wide open. The pick up is huge, i can be cruising, gas it, and the powerband hits hard and smooth. Still bunny hops the front and tries cocking the motor sideways on launch. It was getting absolutely horrendous travel with the 5g weights on the variator. I may tryyyy looking into overrange kits, as it was a thought brought to me by the previous owner. The belt sits kinda far down in the rear pulley, not right on the outside, but its not much worse than my 155 and the gearing on that thing is great. Sometimes the rpms hang more around 9 than 10 at wide open, but it feels really good. Ill take some pics here in a bit with the new bars setup

Top speed runs averaged about 48mph. Going down a very mild downhill, she was screaming to damn near 12k. But flat ground stuck right between 9 and 12. I have to be at 9k to do almost 40 and keep up with traffic. To do 30 i can be at around 8k. It takes off pretty quick still, stable at high speed mostly, though the cvt is scaring me. I put in the new polini rollers, tightened the variator back on, and theres a noise coming from the general area. Sounds like sticking paper in a fan. Im starting to worry about transmission bearings, or worse, crank bearings. But, she rides good. It bunny hops the wheel still, but im not gonna make a serious wheelie effort on it for a while. Bitch is scary. Anyway, here she is with her mean eyes on (though one isnt functional)and the new Tun'r bar setup!
