the black ones on ebay.... looks to me like he's taken a standard cdi and figured out which resistor to replace with a pot. clever guy just a thought on these though.... they will not work properly if you have already cut the 'pink wire' or whatever colour wire from the speed sensor (if you have one) the cdi needs to know the engine speed to calculate advance. some will do this by counting the lt pulses and some by counting the pulse from the speed sensor. others just have a fixed map and are uselsess tbh lol! on some kymco's theres a trick of making a sawcut in the side of the cdi - doesnt make it adjustable but removes the limiter

Ok so you're saying if I disconnect the pink wire I don't get the spark advance?
