On my 1994 jog the stock exhaust has a tiny screw that you can unscrew opening a small hole before the muffler. What is this for?

Someone may have drilled a hole? And the screw just fills the hole,leave it in there it has no performance use.

I too have seen this screw before on some older E-ton matrix beamer 2 stroke scooter exhaust.The bolt and hole comes from the factory. I do not know the purpose of it. I too would like to know why they did this.

You can put a oxygen sensor in there and verify what the lean/rich ratio of the fuel is .

Lots of the old 2stroke motorcycles had them,they are there to drain the schmoo out of the pipe,then reinstall the screw...
