Where is my PAIR System?

Hello there,

I have noticed that my 49cc gy6 scooter doesn't have the PAIR system in the picture. A canister? with a few hoses connected to it. There is a  hose in mine that comes out from under the valve cover, and it doesn't attach to anything. 

Does it have an effect on performance?

No real effect. PAIR is some version of Pulsed Air Injection that uses pulses to push air into the exhaust stream to effect some emission reduction. If there was unburned fuel, it would supply enough to help it combust.
It should not affect performance. Some remove them under the impression that it hurts performance, though I think it doesn't.

Thanks Grumpy. I found this hose while chasing down my problem with erratic idle. I plugged it temporarily and the idle went down so this I thought I ask.
