so i got the keihin pwk flat side carb from scrappy dogg and ive got to admit, its pretty massive. about the size of a 150 carb. has different jets too. might be good so i can get replacements localy. but....
for now i just need to know how to put the throttle cable to it... has anyone used one of these before?
if so what intake/ filter did you use?

I've never used one of those, but 2strokd has. I think there is some info on it in the Skeedr thread in the builds section if I'm not mistaken.

Take the top off of it... thread the cable through the top, gasket, spring and white plastic bit. Then you can see where the cable end fits into the slide, hook it in, and push the white plastic bit down to lock it in, then slide the spring in. Place the gasket on the top and screw the top down. It really is kind of M. Mouse.
K+N style filter here.

Kinda hard to tell from the pic, but if it's in there for long it should be turning kinda caramel colored.

Wait, you have a 110 main in the stock 14mm? I'd check for leaks. The 14mm shouldn't be too hard to get in tune. If it is, you will hate the big 28.

1) I would not attempt a 26? 28? mm carb on anything less than 100cc's. (they lean out real quick you gots to be really careful) 2) I'm *thinking* 110 jet in a stock carb w/ free flowing air filter? 3) stock the 28mm should come #39 idle #130 main...... try it! (it should be a bit rich)

so i put the carb on last night and it seems pretty awsome. like raw power. the thing is i havent put the throttle cable in yet bc it seems like the grip dosent have enough swing, the cable pull is only 1.9 cm and it seems the new carb needs about 2.2+ cm to go wot.
besides that im really just trying to get it to idle before modding my cable, when i have it running yo u have to choke it manually with your palm to keep it running, also idle goes up and down pretty drastically....
ahhh and the BIGGEST problem of all, how the F do you get suction for the fuel petcock, should i connect the hose to one of the ports on the intake manifold?

right now i have the vaccume hose attached to the port on the carb on the side with the little s, but it dosent work, so it always winds up attached to my face to get suction. ha!

When I ran a 28mm PWK, I had a 145 main and 38 pilot with open filter, setup with a lambda on the dyno.
