I had a 90cc with hoca cylinder. It wasn't really that impressive imo. You can built a mild rev 70cc that would meet or exceed the output of the 90. Maybe a bit less torque but really not too important on a scoot imo. By the time you got that 90cc and went through it you could have built a sweet 70cc. Not to mention you might have issues with cylinder being too tall and can't get a plug in it.

i all depends on the tune or the tuner's capability. i spent $100's on "fast" parts when i first got into the 70cc. the fastest 70cc setup i had was a Motoforce mid-race with a Leo Vince ZX-R. next after that was Chinese 70cc kit ported to Corsa timings with a V8 pipe.
i came across a big block and ran the Hoca cast iron cylinder. i thought it ran great until my wrist pin drifted, gouged the bore, because i forgot to install a circlip. when i installed the bore kit. moving on from there, Taida 54mm kit with a V8, malossi gears. the bore was later ported, exhaust roof raised and port widened to put it more into the realm of the the Corsa.
I'll take the 90cc stuff over the 70cc stuff. so much easier to go 60+ mph at 9k rpm. it's a more reliable daily driver than a high revving 70cc screamer. the 90cc minarelli can keep up with the modified Elite's and DD50's of Honolulu's streets, 70cc Corsa's, ministrokers, and full strokers. plus i run stock oil injection pump, no need pre mix at the gas station and shake the bike side to side. with the 94cc setup, i go and "toy" with the 70cc Honda guys for fun, spinning less than 10k rpm on a daily rider. 28mm OKO + 54mm minarelli wrecks shop on the Hondas on WOT races on the streets.
i'm not against the 70cc stuff. i rebuilt my stock chinarelli block with a Ruima crank, ported my Motoforce mid-race bore (used) to Polini Evo 2 exhaust timings. that is set up to run with a NCY small rotor ignition and a Yasuni C20 exhaust. ...but that's for later.

I to had a wrist pin issue with my hoca big bore. I put the clip in but it came out after 5 hours of riding. I'm currently running an Athena wc cylinder and mhr over range with yasuni c16. This set up is the best I have had in 10 years
