That is a repost, but good stuff. Just while were on the topic, I have switched from plugs for the exhaust to a metal plate that I seal on the exhaust. They're easy enough to cut out of aluminum or steel, drill 2 holes to line up with the exhaust, done. The plugs are hard for me to get leak free sometimes in some ports. This way it works with any port shape.

So you just use the exhaust gasket or what?

I usually just use a thin coat of sealant. Gasket would probably work fine.

Cut a rubber gasket and reuse it over and over again.

Great idea! You could bond the gasket to the metal with something so it's all one piece.
