I just won a set of 10in Zuma wheels with a set of almost new set of Michelin Boopers ;D. They cost me almost $160 shipped but i figure it was worth it considering the tires alone would have set me back about $100 or more. The wheels are aluminum and they are the style i have been wanting so i am a happy camper right now . I cant wait to see how Skeedr rides with a set of Boopers on some nice wheels painted black , maybe powder coated black? hhhmmm

Nice wheels. Powder coating would be a lot better if you have the stuff to do it yourself or if you're willing to put out the money. Paint chips off and scratches easily when you change tires.

Well i got my tires and wheels in the other day. My suspicions were correct, the wheels will fit but the brakes are bigger and the front axle is smaller on the Zuma. I no i could fix the front easy with a set of zuma shocks and a diferent axle or by switching the wheel bearings but im not sure what to do with e rear brake. I ended up mounting the tires on my wheels for now and i must say WOW ! What a difference a good set of tires makes. I knew they would help but man since getting them on i have realized how dangerous the stockers were getting. it sits about a half to 3/4inch higher so im thinking about lowering it 1/2inch. I can jamb it through corners with allot more confidence and its a bit faster on top end but slower on the take off, not much though.

Glad you're enjoying the Boppers. I'm not sure what needs to be done to fit the wheel to the engine. If it's just the shoes that are larger, you may be able to swap just zuma shoes on.

Thats what im hoping for. That would be sweet to find a Zuma with a bad motor. I like the look other than the big ass headlights, they probably kick butt at night though. It is just the brakes shoes that are bigger by about 1 to 1/2 inches bigger. These Michelin tires are the sh!t, now to get myself to stop roasting them. Last night i was sitting at a light and out of nowere Skeedr just died. I was using my headlight with a bad charging system but i just topped off my batt and the headlight was bright so i figure she just sneezed or a ghost passed by? Anyway i was in traffic so i kicked it once, twice, three times ok whats going on here. Then finally the forth kick he fired up so i reved all sounded well so i started spinning the tire to show the people behind me that its not a POS(a am advertising), them i realized i was smoking my new tire duh and i stopped real quick. I want these babies to last, and riding wheelies is hard enough on the rear.

lol nice..... last night i went to royal farms to get gas, there was a guy power washing the pumps and concrete. i hit the water and she started spinning so of course i put it to her. not too much smoke but tires arent cheap, i really dont care about the cost just the effort to put them on, i would rather pull my t5 out of the stang......well maybe not but you get the idea.

lol, these tires arent the funnest to put on are they? I had a hell of a time getting the rear 8 year old tire to pop off the bead. I had to keep tightening and turning it in the vise until it finally popped.

The Pirellli tires had the stiffest sidewall I've seen so far. Being 10" doesn't help. 12" versions are easier.

I got em though, well you already knew that. The rear needs balanced bad though, any body ever had these little wheels balanced before? There are weights on the Zuma wheels so im assuming the person that had em before got them balanced some were. Im not sure if the magic beads will help this one lol. A motorcycle shop should be able to shouldnt they?

A bike shop should be able to. Bob put dyna beads in his stock tires for like 50 miles before switchting to Pirellis. Maybe he can tell you if they worked at all.

Cant you hear the beads rolling around in the wheel? I had some in my R/C rock crawler and they made all kinds of noise so i ended up using stick on lead weights like we use on our car wheels. I know a scooter is a far cry from a crawler but i figured they would be noisy anyway.

I couldn't hear Bob's being near him. Don't think I rode it after the beads were added. Where are ya Bob?
