Looks like the dipstick got broken. Probably can't tell if that caliper is going to work without the wheel huh?

The engine I am using appears to be out of a Verucci Avispa 50. The dark chrome cvt cover matches, it has Verucci on it, it has the right side bracket for dual shocks but the mounting holes for the caliper are not drilled out because Verucci did not offer the Avispa 50 with rear disk, drum only and it has a 13' rear wheel. Not that it matters what it came out of but as things stand now the wheels are not going to match. I have the front rotor and caliper for that Avispa front end which appears to be the same as a Racer type 150. If you look at the photo on the bottom of page 2, the caliper matches exactly with the bottom bike in the link below. its a right side mounted caliper with the blue ABS sticker and gold colored ABS valve. Rotor is a close match also. Back end matches too with right rear shock, barrel muffler bracket etc.. www.verucci.com/html/galerias/VC50FS-10D-wasp.htmwww.verucci.com/html/products/new-models/VC50FS-10D.htmI would like to use a front end from one of those 150 Racers with dual piston caliper so i will have dual piston disk brakes front and rear. I dont know if a triple tree from one of those will fit my frame or if the width on my triple tree is the same and i can just use the forks with my tree. So many unknowns here! all that comes later though. I hope the rear wheel gets here soon, I am ready to start making some progress on this engine! Scootercraft has the Naraku 90cc top end on sale for less than $250! www.scootercraft.com/scooters/gy6-4-stroke-50cc/cylinders/naraku-90cc-power-racing-cylinder-kit-ver-2-gy6-50cc-4-stroke.htmlWith the 44mm Hoca crank the displacement comes to 94.9cc 52.4mm bore is the same as a 125cc 152QMI. The goal here is to see a true 60mph WOT with a sustained 55mph 80% throttle. A 125cc 152QMI stock is rated at 7.5hp@6500 rpm. I think I can get close to that with the above Naraku top end with some head work and cam with a 20mm carb properly jetted and good exhaust, everything match ported. I have been asked 'why not just get a 125cc and be done?' Well what fun is that?

thats the rear wheel that shaker is sending me? is the front caliper you sent from that? id be interested in some measurements. whats the distance on the forks inside width? that tree looks wider than mine. there is room for a wider tree i think. also the diameter of the tree where it slides through the frame.

Yeah that's the wheel. I think Shakerdriver (Jason) took the tire off it. I'll check on the front end tomorrow. Today is my day off/hangover day. I used the front wheel on that Interceptor 150 I sold cause the wheel on it has bad bearings. I still have that bad wheel out there.

I just went out to the shop and saw thw front forks. I found a picture I took a while back of the front forks. They are one of a kind with a wedge shaped lower bearing

it will be interesting to see how this motor is geared being a 50cc with a 13" wheel. a 50cc has a hard enough time turning a 10" I was playing around with the numbers and a 44mm stroke x 52.4mm bore comes to 94.89cc At that size I think moving up to a 20mm carb would be beneficial. Havent had much time lately to do anything besides polish a new valve cover to a mirror finish.
