So for those that don't know, which is probably most of you lol, I am a Crew Chief and tech for a Porsche Cup and BMW M Motorsports team based out of Miami. I'm usually working on 991 GT3 Cup cars and the new M2 CS-R. Here is two of them: Artie & Benny: Artie the new BMW M2 CS-R will be campaigned in the World Racing League (WRL) series. Benny the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (991.1) will be campaigned in the International GT Championship (IGT).

Interesting cars. Are you aloud to modify them much from stock, for these championships?

Interesting cars. Are you aloud to modify them much from stock, for these championships? Yes and no haha, the IGT is spread across several classes based on which model of Factory racecar is being utilized. There's the GT3R's which are 4.0L light weight full carbon widebodied bodied like this one from Brumos: Benny on the grid, yes there's mostly Porsche Cup cars, but we have Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc as well. All of these cars started life at the factory as a production racecar.

We need more of these pics and stories. Some time ago I got a little taste of the pit crew life myself. Helped a pitcrew here and there during race weekends. They raced the old A1GP open wheel class cars and the Saker with the subaru boxer engine. It's a whole world on it's own.

We have a Radical RXC Turbo Spyder (1000kg/650whp) and we've been playing around with LMP3 cars lately too, but we have too many BMW'S to get rid of first haha. The Porsches will probably always be on the docket.

I like racing, especially nice clean races, but I absolutely hate seeing crashes. Not only for the thought of the bone crushing forces on the driver and injuries to them, but for the mechanical damage to the machine itself that represents so much time, effort, and artistry by the builders and crew.

I'm unfortunately very familiar with it, although I wasn't driving when it happened. It was one of my favorite Porsche 911 GT3 Cups too. We get damage here and there, but that cup car was toast.
