Working on a gy6 150...has a new carb. Currently no intake piping or filter as the stock airbox was junk and you can't put a pod filter on the carb due to a frame cross member. It also has a Briggs hotdog style muffler (meant for 200-300cc) Originally it would start/idle but not rev up. I put a #125 main jet and then a #130...with either it runs/drives but I still think it needs more fuel because it pops out either the muffler or carb when you chop the throttle. Temperature is also around 60f.
Does needing more than a #130 sound right? Anyone know of a type of hose that I can make an intake pipe out of so it will have a filter?

The main should sit between maybe a 115 and 120 at the most. The popping inside the carb is from the needle or that whole circuit being too lean. Id start at 115 main, 35 pilot, needle in the middle, a/f screw 1.5 turns out.
