Hi all its about time i posted my scooter. Its a 2015 lexmoto fms 125 that had a seized engine when i bought. So i gave it a quick rebuild and put it in for its MOT witch it failed. Just got to put her back together and put in for a retest.

What did it fail on? At least parts for these are cheap. And you see lots around. I see a guy regularly up the local shops with one. He loves his.

Chunky looking scoot, not seen that style of Lexmoto before.

It needed a rear disk rear brake line and 1 fork seal. I picked up another full lexmoto fms from a local scrap yard for £40 (for parts only) it was worth it for the engine alone. Am gonna have to pop back down there and see what else they have in.

She has passed her MOT. But there are a few things i need to sort. It has a wobble on the frontend when above 20mph ish. I think the carb needs striped cleaned and tuned.

Check the wheel first for the wobble. Bearings, or even an unbalanced wheel can cause wobble. If you get the front end off the ground, it should be easy to find the cause.

Thought i would take the scoot for a 100 mile ride last week all went well till 40 miles in the exhaust snapped off. It was my own fault as i didn't nip up the bolts holding it on Didn't get back till 1am. Also picked up a 170cc kit for it but i think i need to bore the case to fit it.

Oh dear. I guess the engine cases are designed to take a 150cc bore. As a lot of the world these are sold as 150's.

Well i've not been out on the scoot for a week or two because of this. (Hope this works) I think the oil pump has given up as i didn't replace it when i rebuilt it. So iv'e put a 150 kit in my spare engine to give me time to do the 170 kit.

That sounded a little bit knackered! 😯 Just a bit but the new one sounds ok. Test ride went well but i found a small oil leak then i got back. Gonna have to pull it back out.

Jay is that just the plug washer leaking, I,d just leave it till next oil change and "fix" it with a piece of board under it till then.
