Picked this back up as use to be mine for £100. Makes easier for Yolanda get in and out of instead of micra. Towed it into garage area and used starter to get on ramp as headgasket gone and won't start. Oil now draining till tomorrow.   |

Sump off oil don't look emulsified just like its not been changed for a few years.  |

Today cracked on with it engine blocked up and timed up ready to remove head tomorrow. Didn't know how much cars had changed since my day working on them with carbs. So many wires and sensors. Fiddle with wiring plugs and push pull prod and off they pop still no idea how ☺️ Bit murky with oil and water on the cams.    |

Head off got drop a piston out tomorrow see state of rings on no 3 cylinder slight scoring. If all good of to Carmarthen with head for pressure testing, skim and valves regrinding as number 3 the 4 valves have slight leak.

Milly it'd blow your mind, all the electrical crap on these new cars. Variable Valve Timing, Variable Compression, Electronic Thermostats, Automatic Emergency Braking, etc.
Looks like a daewoo engine there, i'll put my money on they didn't bother checking the coolant level and overheated it. Easy way to blow a head gasket real quick.

Indeed df41590 cooked and never changed the oil since I sold it to them. Rings are gummed up on number 3 so will take the rest out. Off to the engineers 30mile away to get pressure testing done and a skim if all good and valves ground in.  |

Pah! Plenty of parts to fit on scooter under the seat but was reminded to do the car on ramp. I had quietly forgotten about it for a while.   |
