I'm going for a 86cc build. Does anyone have any suggestions on what ignition system I should get? I was probably going to go for the mvt digital direct. But if I could use a stock one for right now that would be great. Am I able to use a stock stator with a 86cc setup?

But if you’re gonna spend the money to go big might as well start big. It’s my opinion that the stock ignition will hamper performance.

Yes, but it also saves me 400$ for right now, and it's a easy upgrade. At least to put on. I was thinking of just going with the hoca setup. But I don't want to. This will probably be my only total engine build.

I've heard stock ignitions are good up to 11k, so if the 86cc kit makes its power over 11k it'd be best to go with a performance ignition, or limit it to 11k & below.

stock ignition works fine for up to 16k rpm (atleast for me) but the flywheel might be unbalanced and will break the crankshaft

Have seen stock flywheels crack at the rivet holes with high rev kits..
