Looking for ideas on subframes for a rear facing carb
My main question is really more on the lines of "what's stopping me from cutting the bar and adding appropriate length bolts to hold the engine in place, and cutting the black bar above it as well"
Looking to hear your opinions or maybe a solution to my little problem. As one of my projects requires this as the factory carb location is incredibly hard to work with.

I've seen the sub frame from a short case clone with rear facing carb used on a long case clone. Worked ok

I would keep the OEM frame as is...It is not clear to me what you are pondering...if you have clearance issues...maybe an angle/dangle intake? Not a deal breaker for sure! You can have some fun if using an air-box...if not? You are in for crazy tuning anyway!

I do apologize for the incredibly crude drawing.but the idea was to cut this and have a metal plate take the spot and have long enough bolts to secure the two sides of the subframe mounts. I just don't know if the torque of the engine will make it shift in any way. But not entirely sure.

Im about to cut the frame but im not sure about the clearance (i have a 360 intake manifold) and i tried putting the caeburator on top of the cylinder but it didnt work and if it wouldve worked riding normally but it wouldnt work with the rear wheel in the air
