Damn seagull never showed up jloi. Don't think pipe was silicone lines. Today though I managed to get some 3/16" / 4mm vacuum pipe specific from local shop so that's sorted hopefully once I have double checked in the morning it starts ok. Then go and get there last packet for future use. |

just can't get good help ya know? plus, had to send him 1st to China cause of shortages here . had to get tested before leaving ; wait for papers . get tested again upon entering China . then more papers. then had to translate those papers . then , wouldn't let him out of China; said he tested positive. revoked visa. last heard was firing squad .

Took carb off the Chinese qmb139 started fine so cleaned Vespa carb put back on but still pain to start, Chinese carb back on and running fine think vespa one just old and is toast plus it has smaller jets on Vespa one. Will see how starts later on this nice frosty day.

Today I put the original carb back now I have worked out the cold starting technique of the other carb kin cold freezing weather. Twist like mad while using starter and it fires straight up. Never had a bike or scooter had to do that on before. Never to old to learn new tricks 😊. Glad i didn't have to go down the electrical nightmare route😱. Old carb working fine now know the procedure. So aeroxbud it has had its upgrade and the other carb can go back on the China scooter. Funny how Chinese one has 85 main and the Vespa one has a 72 or 75 main and they both run the same when out on a 8 mile trip today  |

It's mad how different jetting can on different bikes. My typhoon was a 53 standard, and aerox 66 main jet.
Perhaps the Vespa needs a next size up pilot jet?
I know my typhoon hates the cold. Anything below 5 degrees left out it always takes a bit to start.

Well would you know it. Off with the old original carb and back on with the Chinese one. Starts again now.
