A friend just told me this morning that his youngest son asked for a motorcycle for his birthday. He's 3.
He's got a small collection of toy bikes and likes to make them jump and crash. He goes and points and watches when their neighbor or their friends start or pull up on their Harleys or if I come over on a scoot. The last time I was over there, months ago now, we were talking about how much he likes motorcycles. I asked if he has ever shown him sport bike stunts, because they rev high and they do some of the stuff he does with his toys. He said no, then pulled up a stunt bike vid on his phone. As soon as his son heard the bike, his eyes lit up and he proclaimed "motorcycle" as he ran over to see. Then he watched and clapped and was happy about how loud the bike was. Very little makes me more happy than seeing that.
Maybe, just maybe, there will still be some fans of loud and high revving 2 wheelers in the future, when everyone else is riding soulless e-bikes around.
