Thought this would be an interesting thread. Me personally, I cracked my phone screen through the tempered glass screen protector, and through the otter box defender too, Broken by a Rollercoaster restraint. Samsung note 9, man I love the infinity display but its pretty dang fragile. Anyone elses stories?

Typically I break mine at work. Dropped a Blackberry out of a boom lift once. It landed on its side on a 2” pipe railing. Body went one way, battery another and the battery cover another. That was my last ‘berry.
My only Android was a water proof rugged Kyocera Torque. Damn loud and absolutely water proof. You could talk in a pool if you wanted to. One day it bricked. Goes to manufacturers splash screen and stops.
Now I’m an Apple guy. I’m on phone 3. All have been screen damage.
Unicorn Beetle Supcase has been very very durable and I’d easily rate it higher than an otter box.

My flip phone has about a 1" screen so it's not really prone to issues. I've dropped it on concrete so many times. It'll last a long time, it just happens to be mostly useless. I'm one step from this :  |

My last phone isn,t lost it may well be cracked I just can,t reach it ,its in a canal 3ft of water and 2ft of banking separate us,I still think of it daily and visit the spot now and again.

Why did I open this thread. After almost 14 years of having iPhones I have never cracked a screen, now I am cursed.

Broke my phone for the first time 2 days ago a blackberry motion now have cling film round it so don't cut fingers on glass. Son is going to fit a new screen when I get one and borrow the heat gun from garage to remove the old one.

I’ve cracked some screens, gravity assisted.on a side note I can attest to the durability of iphones. My last one (6s)spent 20-30 minutes in the toilet and still works, though I upgraded to a 12.

I've owned 2 flip phones, a Moto X (1st generation) rooted, samsung s5 rooted, moto x pure edition unlocked and rooted, now a samsung s10+ & tab s7+ 5g, never broke a screen. Holding it in my mouth. Started to slip and I clamped down on it with a canine. Chipped the edge, so not the worst, but still bummed me out.

Right? Answer text, take a leak, break a phone, cuss like a pirate, stand on one leg trying to hackey sack style kick phone away from toilet, not peeing on myself, wonder if this is covered by T-maybe's "insurance". Hell, that's more than I do at work. 😉 Haha... Nice one, the best ive done for multi tasking is, hold brake, hit electric start, give a hint of throttle, and hold a test light onto a wire all with 2 hands... pretty proud of myself |
