As a year 'round rider, the winter weather means re-adjusting the usual stuff until the bike will start / run / idle @ around 30 degrees. My Beamer has a solid, 1-piece seat tub, so I put a 3-4" length of 3/16" vacuum hose on my idle adjust screw and I can reach it a lot easier to adjust on-the-fly.

So you stuck a short piece of rubber tubing so you can twist it with your fingers or fit a screwdriver onto it easier?

So you stuck a short piece of rubber tubing so you can twist it with your fingers or fit a screwdriver onto it easier? wow . . too cool ! I did it so I can twist it from either under the bike easier, or through the oil access cover. But, you gave me a great idea about using the hose as a guide ! The screwdriver would be more concise. Twisting the rubber hose is sort of hit or miss. Im carrying a looong screwdriver, metric of course, to adjust the idle mixture. Im almost there, and its workable the way it is, but Im obsessive and I want it to kick over in two kicks, idle and have no bog when its about 30 degrees. Ha ha . . . That is not asking to much is it ? Im almost there though . . . Thanks again !
