Sprang my ankle!

I finally got everything i needed to finish this old (built) 250R 3wheeler for a customer.
Went out this morning and got everything installed and ready to start.
First off before i go any further....Anybody know the 250R,s?
The kickstater is way too short for the motor stock let alone built.
To top the off, it kicks forward instead of the "kick back" style like our scooters.
So i climb on this thing thinking alright im finally about done w/this as i go to slowly kick the motor over a few. Huh, yea right!
This baby has some pinch . No biggie, i see that the fuel line is full so im assuming the carb is and its ready for "The" kick.
I stand up and give her a kick like, i mean start B!tch. Holy cow, thats too much pain in my foot. Hhmm, my right ankle is the bad one and thats the side the kickstart is on .....I ended up standing on the right rear tire with my bad foot and kicking it with my left .
The good news is the three wheeler sounds MEAN !
The bad news is after the fisrt start and some adjustments i went to start it again... The thing "sneezed" on me causing a violent kickback off the kickstarter. I kinda rolled off of it mumblin "thats too damn much" as i held my ankle and foot in pain.
Now my bad foot hurts cause i kicked it and irritated all the damage from the past and my good foot is all swollen and useless for a bit . But hey, the 250 runs ;D!
Its tough runnin a one man band . If i would have had anybody else here i would have probably ended up pushing or pulling it to get it started.

I know what the 250R was I think (80's Honda ATC 250R?), but (luckily?) never messed with one. I was wondering why I hadn't seen you online today. That sucks dude. I'm sure you know the drill, but keep those feet propped up and iced and take Aleve because it's an anti-inflammatory if you aren't gonna see a doc.

Yea the old ATC250R. I dont know whats done to the internals but it sure has a load of compression! Sounded goood! I have kickstarted some 2T beasts in my day but man....
I just now am able to kick back and relax. Not gonna see the Doc unless it gets real sore, or super swollen. I have been here before lol.
Glad its running! Now i can do some fine tuning to it and get it outta the way finally.

Bummer about the sprained ankle man
I had an old Yamaha MX500 a long time ago, it had a compression relief lever
If you tried to kick it without using the lever... It could break your leg

That one was a monster. I remember the CR500 and the YZ490 ! All Beasts for sure ;D!
Ankle is much better today. I dont think i hurt it as bad as i thought at first. Took some aleive last night and kicked back.
Feeling not too bad today . Even got the aprilia out for a little ride.

Had an XR500 with compression release. Don't ever try to kick without knowing what you are doing on those things, bust a knee cap on the handle bars if you mess it up.
